I love trying unusual items in epoxy resin coasters. It givens me an endless amount of resin coaster ideas. You’d be surprised at the things you can use. I kept walking by the sidewalk salt in the garage and always noticed the color. Then it occurred to me, I should try it in a coaster! That and a touch of glitter and I ended up with a beachy, coastal style coaster!

This is the resin I used for this project:
FX Poxy: https://amzn.to/2AF3Pkk ~ According to the manufacturer, this one is heat resistant to 500 degrees F.
Here is the quick video tutorial, so you can see exactly how I made it:
Directions:
1. I have been walking by my sidewalk salt all winter and kept thinking how pretty it was.
2. I mixed two ounces of resin.
3. I mixed in some of the pretty sidewalk salt.
4. I mixed in matching glitter.
5. I poured it all into the coaster mold.
6. I used my lighter to pop the bubbles and let it cure for a minimum of 12 hours.
7. I removed the coaster from the mold.
That’s it! I has a fun beachy look to it.
I’m hoping it’s the end of winter and I don’t have to use anymore salt! In the meantime, I’ll enjoy my coaster!
Thanks for stopping by! Remember: Life’s too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™ Stay safe!
