Here is a quickie tip that I found on Pinterest! It’s from the This Old House website, under the article 10 Uses for Vinegar. It was just what I needed to clean up all my craft brushes. I thought I’d have to spend a bunch of money replacing them, but luckily, it worked like a charm!
Here’s what you do:
1. Put vinegar in an old jar and heat it up in the microwave. I did it just until it started to boil.
2. Soak your paintbrushes in the vinegar for 30 minutes and they should come out clean! Some of my craft brushes took a little longer than others, depending on how many years of gunk had built up.
Another tip that I found in the comments of that article is to soak the brushes in watered down Downy fabric softener to keep the bristles soft. I did. It worked!! Double Yay!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!
