You know I have fallen in LOVE with the outline stickers and I can’t get enough! I’m going to use them to makeover some dollar store wine glasses! This is an inexpensive and easy project!
You can create stunning and original stemware for minimal cost!
You will need:
– Dollar store wine glasses – I found mine at Dollar Tree
– Resin – I used Easy Cast, but Envirotex Lite will work just as well.
– Outline stickers – I used Starform stickers
– Markers – I used a combination of Sharpies and metallic stickers
– Glitter or clear nail polish
Here are some of the items available through Amazon, incase you want to give it a try. I couldn’t find the exact stickers on Amazon, but added some that looked like they might work, or would be fun! For the wine glasses, look at the smaller stickers on the sheet.
Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. Make sure the under side of the base is clean. I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol.
2 Pick your stickers and carefully remove them from the sheet, one at a time. Add them to the underside of the base. I wore gloves when putting on the stickers, so I wouldn’t put fingerprints on the glass.
3. Rub the stickers down, so they are well adhered to the glass.
4. Take some fine glittered nail polish or clear nail polish and paint it over the stickers. It just needs to be a thin coat. It will seal the stickers, so marker won’t bleed under the stickers.
5. Once dry, start coloring in the stickers with the markers. Allow to dry.
6. Mix resin, according to the package directions.
7. Mix in glitter.
8. Carefully and slowly pour the resin/glitter mixture onto the bottom of the base. Pour it into the center and use your stir stick to carefully spread it to the edge. Make sure you do it carefully and don’t have it overflow the edge.
9. Allow it to cure, undisturbed, for a minimum of 12 hours. Be careful not to bump the table.
That’s it! Once cured, you can submerge it in water and it will be fine! I would not recommend the dishwasher. I don’t know how that would hold up.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Holidays!
