Directions:
1. Trace or free draw the shape of a fish onto a canvas board.
2. You can freehand the details of the fish.
3. I used a dimensional fabric paint to outline the fish. I had red on hand, but you can use any color. In hindsight, I would have used black and it would have saved a couple of steps.
4. I drew in some seagrass or seaweed.
5. I used the dimensional fabric paint to outline that as well.
6. When everything dried, I used a spray paint to seal it all.
7. I used a permanent ink pad to blacken the outline.
8. I used some of the alcohol ink to cover up some of the ink blotches.
9. I mixed two ounces of resin and added blue pigment. I began dripping and spreading it onto the canvas.
10. I did the same with green, but did about one ounce.
11. I used a lighter to pop the bubbles.
12. I repeated with red and yellow.
13. I mixed more resin and added fine glitter and dripped it into the scales of the fish. Again, I popped bubbles and allowed it to cure for 12 hours.
14. Once cured, I thought the outline could be stronger, so I used a fine liner brush and black acrylic paint, to strengthen the outlines.
15. Once the paint dried, I mixed three ounces of resin and poured it over the art.
16. I popped the bubbles with a lighter and let it sit for a minimum of 12 hours.
Once it is finished curing, it is ready! You can put it on a stand, or frame it!
You can do it with any design, so let your imagination run wild!
