How To Make Donut Ring Jewelry Video
Here is the video tutorial, so you can see exactly how I made them!
Directions on How To Make Donut Ring Jewelry!
Step 1: Mixing Resin
Mix one ounce of resin, according to the package directions.
Step 2: Add a little dye
Mix in a little bit of brown, white, and yellow pigment dye. You want your donut necklace to have a realistic color.
Step 3: Pour it!
Pour the resin into the mold. Try to fill them to equal levels – not all the way full. You should get roughly 10 donut halves out of one ounce.
Step 4: No More Bubbles in the Donut Ring Jewelry
Pop bubbles with a lighter and allow to cure for at least 12 hours.
Step 5: Remove it!
Remove the donut halves from the mold, so you can start to put together the donut necklaces.
Step 6: Glue it!
Glue the halves together, wipe any that might ooze out, and allow to dry.
Step 7: Frosting the Donut Ring Jewelry
Use the glue to create a frosting on the donuts.
Step 8: Every Donut Needs Sprinkles!
Add bugle beads as sprinkles. Gently press them into the glue.
Step 9: A Little Glitter!
Sprinkle glitter onto the glue and allow it to dry.
Step 10: Alternative Frosting Idea
As an alternative, mix pigment powder into some glue and spread it on the donut like frosting. Press in bugle beads.
Step 11: Drill the Donut Ring Jewelry
When dry, drill a small hole into the donuts.
Step 12: Eyepin Time
Trim down and add an eye pin with glue.
Step 13: Jump Ring Time
Add a jump ring.
When you add a cord, you have a super cute donut necklace!
