Donut Ring Jewelry DIY with Video!

Are you ready for a fun craft? I’m going to show you how to make donut ring jewelry to wear as a necklace! Even better, you can customize it to make your favorite donut!

Supplies You Will Need For Donut Ring Jewelry!

  • Resin:
  • When deciding on which resin to use, there are a lot of qualities that might be appealing, UV resistant, price, heat resistance, etc. Just make sure to select a resin that fits your needs.
  • Use whatever brand you like:

  • Promise Epoxy

  • Stone Coat

How To Make Donut Ring Jewelry Video

Directions on How To Make Donut Ring Jewelry!

Step 1: Mixing Resin

Mix one ounce of resin, according to the package directions.

Step 2: Add a little dye

Mix in a little bit of brown, white, and yellow pigment dye. You want your donut necklace to have a realistic color.

Step 3: Pour it!

Pour the resin into the mold.  Try to fill them to equal levels – not all the way full.  You should get roughly 10 donut halves out of one ounce.

Step 4: No More Bubbles in the Donut Ring Jewelry

Pop bubbles with a lighter and allow to cure for at least 12 hours.

Step 5: Remove it!  

Remove the donut halves from the mold, so you can start to put together the donut necklaces.

Step 6: Glue it!  

Glue the halves together, wipe any that might ooze out, and allow to dry.

Wipe any excess glue that squishes out from in between the two donut halves

Step 7: Frosting the Donut Ring Jewelry

Use the glue to create a frosting on the donuts.

Step 8: Every Donut Needs Sprinkles!

Add bugle beads as sprinkles.  Gently press them into the glue.

Step 9: A Little Glitter!

Sprinkle glitter onto the glue and allow it to dry.

Step 10: Alternative Frosting Idea

As an alternative, mix pigment powder into some glue and spread it on the donut like frosting.  Press in bugle beads.

Step 11: Drill the Donut Ring Jewelry

When dry, drill a small hole into the donuts.

Step 12: Eyepin Time

Trim down and add an eye pin with glue.

Add a jump ring.
